How to insert .3DS objects In the 3D Visualizer in Disco

The 3D visualizer also allows for the importation of .3DS files. These files contain 3D data and are used to represent 3D models in the visualizer. This can be useful if you would like to visualize the stage, trussing, and furniture in a room. To import a .3DS file click on the insert Object menu item on the main 3D window. A list of available objects will be shown. If you would like to use your own objects remember to place them in the 3D Objects directory under The Axis folder. When selecting an object from the list, a preview of that object will be shown in the main 3D Window. Before loading the object the color, and scale can also be selected. If .3DS files are not available we suggest using a program called 3Dwin4. It is a conversion program that can convert any format to the .3ds format that can then be imported to The visualizer.

Moving the obects can be achieved by clicking on the item and moving the mouse. Try right and left click combinations while moving to ratote all axis of the object. To delete the object press the delete key while the object is active.
